About The Brackney's
Please sign in to see more.
This site is dedicated to the memory of Vincent Eugene Brackney.
Please browse around my tree and e-mail me any blanks you can fill in. Also
look for improvements to be made and let me know them too. I keep this site
updated with any information I may have. So if you can't find it I will not
know. I found my information on Ancestry.com and FamilySearch.com

I recently fell upon some life changing info for my tree. Family story goes that my great grandfather Cornelius and his sister Agnes were adopted children. Placed on the "Orphan Train" in New York then dropped of at Cairo, Illinois. Cornelius was 4 at the time and no one would believe him when he told them his real name was Peter Hargett.
I have found a whole lot of truth in little Pete's story. I discovered Orphan Train arrival records for Illinois. Listed as Peter & Ruth Hargett they were adopted into the Brackney Family in 1893.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
